  Ectopic salivary gland tissue in the anterior mandible: a case report
  This paper describes the rare phenomenon of ectopic salivary gland tissue in the anterior mandible which mimicked a radicular cyst. Mandibular radiolucencies can prove a pitfall for the unwary – the need for a thorough history, examination and relevant investigations are emphasised.

This article assesses the efficacy of a disinfectant, Alpron, for controlling microbial contamination within dental unit water lines. The method described could readily be used in the dental practice with the benefit of a reduction in microbial loads.
