General dental practice--challenges and opportunities: a personal view

D Mason

This second paper in the Future of Dentistry series considers the implications for general dental practice of trends in health care nationally and internationally. Its main objective is to increase awareness of the major changes occurring in primary care which provide the dental profession with new challenges and opportunities. It is important that the dental profession is given its proper place in the changing scene and that general dental practice is not isolated from new developments in primary health care
