Access to BDJ content for BDA Members

BDA members should be able to access the full text and PDF versions of all BDJ content online using their BDA login details. If you are a BDA member having problems accessing the full versions of any BDJ papers, please read the following information, which should help resolve the problem.

BDA members should access the BDJ site via the BDA homepage (www.bda.org):

  • Go to www.bda.org
  • Do NOT log in on the BDA homepage. If you are already logged in, please log out.
  • On www.bda.org click on the link to the BDJ in the top left of the screen. A new window will open. If a new window fails to open, please check the settings of any pop-up blocker software that you have installed on your computer.
  • You will now be asked to login with your BDA website login details, which are on your BDA membership card.
  • Once your details have been entered you will be transferred to the BDJ website, where you should then be able to access all BDJ content for free. If your login does not work, please contact the BDA Membership department on 020 7563 4550.

Some users may continue to experience problems in accessing the full or PDF versions of BDJ articles when logged on as detailed above. This is usually caused by the latest firewall and privacy software and the very latest Operating Systems, which can block the method of transfer and authentication between the BDA website and the BDJ/Nature system. If this happens please follow these instructions:

  • Return to the BDA homepage
  • Click on the link 'BDJ access problems' (found in the list in the middle of the homepage)
  • Follow the step-by-step guide.
