About this site
Welcome to Authors & Referees @ npg. Here we provide links to and information about the Nature journals' publication policies, as well as Nature Publishing Group's author and referee services and benefits. We also provide feedback channels so potential authors, peer-reviewers, scientists and other visitors can ask questions about these topics, and feature two blogs for discussion and comments about topical issues concerning authorship and peer-review.
In our policies section you will find clear statements of Nature journals' editorial policies about publication of primary scientific research to guide potential authors of and peer-reviewers, and to help them decide on an appropriate journal for publication of their work.
Our services section describes all NPG's author services. These include information about our journals, links to their online submission systems, their relationship, impact factors and scope that is relevant for authors and peer-reviewers. We advise on how to get published in our journals, and list NPG's online products, services and resources for authors, reviewers and readers.
Our peer-reviewers' section describes the Nature journals' policies on peer review of primary scientific research papers, linking to resources and information for peer-reviewers and about peer review.
The author benefits section highlights the additional benefits to authors when they publish in the Nature journals and other NPG journals. These include Nurture, our author magazine; special subscription rates to the Nature journals; and a varied range of communication and media services from our active press office.
Nautilus is our blog for past, present and future authors. We welcome your comments on the postings there.
Peer-to-Peer is our blog for and about peer review, which includes Nature's web debate on peer review. We welcome your comments on the debate articles as well as on the other postings.
Please contact us if you have general questions to ask the editors of the journals. We welcome questions by email about our policies and services, and general editorial queries — all of which can also be made via the feedback box on the top right-hand of all pages in this authors & referees site.
