Abstract
THERE have been several searches for pulsed electromagnetic radiation from the direction of the galactic centre1–5 and one report of their detection6. Here we present the results of another search, at 430 MHz, conducted as part of a deep pulsar search using the 140-foot telescope of the National Radio Astronomy Observatory, in Green Bank, West Virginia. There was no evidence for pulses of extraterrestrial origin within the limits and assumptions we discuss.
