Absorption Spectroscopy Measurement of Methyl Radical Concentrations in Low Pressure Flames

Abstract

ALTHOUGH methyl radicals are thought to play an important role in the oxidation of methane1, the almost complete lack of information about their concentrations in flames has hindered understanding of the kinetics of methane combustion.
