Abstract
The mixed lymphocyte reaction (MLR) provides an in vitro method for examining the response to some of the products of the histocompatibility gene complex which may be relevant to the survival of renal allografts1–3. These experiments describe a means of quantitating the response using the gene dose effect and make a preliminary examination of its relevance to renal allograft survival.
