Expression of the chromosomal mouse βmaj-globin gene cloned in SV40

Abstract

The complete chromosomal mouse βmaj-globin gene, including its intervening and flanking sequences, has been cloned in the monkey virus SV40. The mouse gene is transcribed, processed and translated in infected monkey kidney cells to yield mouse βmaj-globin.
