Abstract
BROWNE1 has identified the radio source 1215 + 30 of the Bologna B2 survey with a remarkably bright quasi-stellar source of magnitude approximately 14.5. We report here that its optical flux is variable by more than two magnitudes, with discernible brightness changes over time scales of hours, as well as secular trends on a time scale of years.
