Blood Corticotrophin in Cushing's Syndrome

Abstract

PREVIOUS work on the level of blood corticotrophin in cases of Cushing's syndrome has been scanty and has not involved a full-scale bioassay of concentrated extracts used at sufficiently high dose-levels. Some of the early work on this subject was reviewed by Loraine1 and semiquantitative values for four Cushing's patients have been given by Clayton2.
