Abstract
LITTLE has been added in the past thirty years, as may be seen from Davson's valuable monograph1, to the pioneer observations of Cohen2 and of McCance and Watchorn3 on the magnesium and calcium of human cerebrospinal fluid. In our studies of the blood-cerebrospinal fluid barrier we have made many observations with newer microchemical methods4, from which some points of interest emerge.
