Abstract
RECENTLY, Inagami1 obtained (isolated) a mutant of Bombyx mori, proved that it is based upon a single recessive gene and called it ‘Aka-Aka’ (rb), which means red colour in Japanese, for the skin of the mature larva is red and its body fluid turns fairly red when exposed to air in contrast with the blackening of the normal type.
