Abstract
CHAPLIN has shown1 that, contrary to a view current until then2, it is possible to increase the resistance of certain Gram-negative bacteria to some quaternaries such as the cationic detergent ‘Roccal’ (alkyIdimethylbenzyl ammonium chloride).
