Abstract
IN a recent publication1 attention was directed to the cytotoxic action of a series of halogenoalkylarylanies, of which the compound PhN(CH2CH2Cl)2 may be taken as typical. The structural conditions requisite for activity were stated to be the presence of two halogenoalkyl groups in the molecule together with a certain minimum reactivity of the halogen, as measured by the ease of hydrolysis. In the cytological changes which these compounds produce they largely resemble their aliphatic analogues.
