Since publication of the above manuscript, the authors have identified an error. Re-examination of the pcDNA3.LUCA-15 plasmid used in the experiments reported in this manuscript revealed that the LUCA-15 cDNA was in fact cloned in the reverse orientation. This change does not affect any figure or result reported in the manuscript, but does affect the conclusions: the suppressive effect of LUCA-15 on CD95-mediated apoptosis was due to suppression of LUCA-15 gene expression rather than overexpression of LUCA-15. A new manuscript, describing the effect of overexpression of LUCA-15, is currently under consideration for publication.
