The photomicrograph shows several of the components that comprise the constellation of features to be evaluated for grading. Steatosis is predominantly macrovesicular, ballooned hepatocytes are noted, and some contain intracytoplasmic material consistent with poorly formed Mallory's hyaline. Mild, acute, and chronic inflammation are present (hematoxylin and eosin, 20times).
