Urgent Requests for Manuscripts!

The American Journal of Gastroenterology is planning to publish a series of management algorithms addressing common clinical complaints produced by the Rome Foundation. The algorithms will appear as a separate section of an upcoming issue. We would like for the remainder of the issue to remain thematically based around gastrointestinal disorders of functional etiology, neurogastroenterology and/or motility. With this in mind, we would like to put out an urgent request for manuscripts (RFM) to populate this issue of AJG.

The American Journal of Gastroenterology invites the submission of original research manuscripts addressing the Rome criteria or clinical issues in functional bowel disorders, neurogastroenterology and/or motility. We are particularly interested in manuscripts which provide scientific information that is applicable to clinical practice. Articles which pass the peer review process will appear in an upcoming thematically-based issue of AJG which will feature a series of clinical management algorithms produced by the Rome Foundation. Interested authors should submit manuscripts via the Scholar One website. Please clearly state in the introductory letter that your manuscript is intended for the Rome issue.

The deadline for submission for this special RFM is December 1, 2009. Depending upon the response to this RFM, some accepted manuscripts may be published in other upcoming issues of the AJG. Please address questions to Vince Furlong, Managing Editor, at vfurlong@unmc.edu.

Online submission is fast and secure with Manuscript Central.
